1. Screen size and screen type
For gaming you will need a big bright screen for that ultimate immersive gaming experience. Anything above 8″ will do the job. You also have to keep in mind that even though your screen is bigger than 8″, it might not have the best screen resolution. You should definitely aim for HD or Retina screens which will provide ultra sharp image on your tablet.
2. Memory
Basically, you are going to want anything above 2GB memory to ensure your tablet will have the room and capacity to operate smoothly without being constrained of too little memory. Nowadays, this should not be too much of an issue if you are going for any of the leading brands on the market – However, take note of this!
3. Processor speed
This is a simple one. Anything above a dual-core processor will do the job. Again, if you are going with any leading brand tablet you are almost certainly guaranteed an extremely powerful processor.
4. Storage
Obviously, the more storage, the better. However, consider your needs. In reality 16/32GB would be quite enough as it is recommended to uninstall unwanted and unused apps and games periodically to ensure your tablet performance is always up to speed (pun intended).
5. Price
You will be surprised how much computing power you can get out of inexpensive tablets. In many situations, for casual use, you can generally choose any leading brand tablet between $100-$200. It really depends if you will be gaming, e-mailing or if it is for kids use.
