Nexus 5 Android 5.1 Android Lollipop Update Instructions
Google Nexus 5 users can now upgrade their device to the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop LRX22G using the AOSP Grogg’s Way.
The ROM was created by GROGG88 that will come with some interface enhancements, new features, new shortcuts and also more customizations.
Before you install the new ROM, you will need to ensure that the Google Nexus 5 in on the Android 5.0.x and has the latest TWSP. Create a backup for all the important data on the device and also enable the USB debugging mode on the Nexus 5. Your device should also have at least 80% of battery life. Bootloader should be unlocked. The ROM only works for the Nexus 5 hammerhead so please make sure you are using the right model before proceeding with the update.
You will need to download these files into your PC, FLO, DEB, Hammerhead and DT2W. Next, connect you Nexus 5 to the PC via USB and copy/paste the downloaded files to the device. Turn off the device and unplug it from the PC. Next, enter Bootloader model (Volume Up + Volume Down + Power). Go to Bootloader > Recovery > wipe data/factory reset. The Power button is used to select in the Recovery mode.
From there, you will need to perform a cache wipe, to do so, go to Advanced >> wipe dalvik cache. Select back to enter the main menu and install SD card>> choose zip from SDcard and flash all the zip files. Lastly, reboot your device and wait until it is done rebooting and you are done.
