Turn off the hotword detection
When using Android 4.4, you can activate Google Now by saying “Ok Google” to have a quick search result. However this manipulation is heavy on your battery because your phone is always on the listening to order mode. In order to turn off “hotword detection” function, you can access to Google application > Settings > Voice > “Ok Google” hotword detection > OFF.If you want to turn of Google Now function totally, access to Google application > Settings > Google Now > OFF. Choosing “Also turn off Location History” box and then tap on “Turn off”.
Adjusting the Location
Android KitKat also has the Location mode to allocate your phone area. Access to Settings >Location > Mode , you can see there are 3 modes, which are High accuracy ( Very accurate) by using GPS, Wifi and mobile networks; Battery saving (saving battery life) by using only Wifi and mobile network s and Device only which is using only GPS.High accuracy is the mobile default mode. Access to Battery saving can help to save precious battery life of your mobile.
Turn of automatically synch and Wi-Fi scanning function.
Automatically synch function can help you to back up your calendar, contacts, images, etc. This function is useful but can lose your battery significantly. To turn off auto-sync function, access to Settings > Google > your account and un-tick or remove the chosen of box/ service that you do not want to back up.Do you know your mobile phone still keep connecting to Wi-Fi even you turn off the Wi-Fi mode? This happens because of helping your applications, games and Google play allocate your device. To turn of this function, access to Settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced > remove tick on Scanning always available.
Besides that, there are other tips for saving your phone battery, like use normal wallpaper instead of animated wallpaper and removing unnecessary applications.
